OBJECTIVES

1. Empowerment through Education: Provide access to quality Education, skills training, and mentorship for children and women enabling them to overcome poverty, inequality and social injustice.
2. Health and Wellbeing: Improve the health and Wellbeing of children and women by providing access to comprehensive healthcare services, nutrition programs, and psychosocial support addressing physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
3. Economic empowerment: Foster economic independence among women through entrepreneurship training, micro finance initiatives, income generating projects, and market access, enabling them to break free from exploitation and support themselves and their families.
4. Protection and Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and protection of children and women, addressing issues like gender based violence, child abuse, exploitation, and social injustice, providing a safe and supportive environment for them to thrive.
5. Spiritual discipleship: Nurture the spiritual growth of children and women through biblical teaching, mentorship, and discipleship programs, helping them develop a deepening faith and relationship with God.

OUR STORY

In 2015, Florence N. Wanjala's life took a profound turn. While witnessing the devastating struggles of children and their mothers in Uganda, she felt an unshakable call to action. Poverty, disease, inequality, exploitation and social injustice had taken a crippling toll on these vulnerable communities. Florence knew she had to do something.

With the unwavering support of her husband, Yoko, and the two dedicated volunteers, Florence embarked on a courageous journey. Together, they formed Sozo Africa Network (SAN) a beacon of hope for those trapped in cycles of suffering.

Humility marked the beginning as SAN started in a small rented office room in Bugiri. Yet, the passion and dedication of the team soon attracted like-minded individuals, like Tim Deming, who generously supported the construction of a moderate office in Bugiri. This field office remains a testament to the power of collaboration and kindness.

Today SAN's national office stands in Namugongo, Kampala, Uganda a symbol of growth and resilience. Florence's initial vision has blossomed into a thriving network, empowering children and women to break free from the shackles of poverty, inequality, and social injustice.

Through SAN’s tireless efforts, lives are being transformed and hope is being restored to those who need it most. We remain committed to expanding our reach and deepening our impact, one life at a time until every child and woman in Uganda can thrive.
